In August 2009 the Matthew Miller Memorial Junior Perry Scholarship Fund was established in memory of Matthew Miller. Belmont (Ft. Wayne) Junior shooter, ISRPA Junior Team Shooter, Exemplary Student, Eagle Scout. Matthew was killed tragically in a vehicle accident just a week after returning from Perry. The fund was established with a $550 donation from Matt's estate, and with additional funds from T-shirt sales and donations this year we currently have close to $1400 in the fund. To initiate the fund in 2009 the fund reimbursed match fees for junior shooters in Indiana. John Crone, our Indiana NRA State Rep, has negotiated support for the Junior Team with Sierra Bullets. John and Dave Schnelle (Wildcat Valley, Lafayette) were instrumental in raising funds from patch and T- Shirt sales. 2009 saw a record turnout for juniors at the State and Regional Championships, and at Perry. We are building on that start for continued Junior Support and an ISRPA Highpower Junior Program in 2010. Stay tuned-more details will be coming soon!
